Finding conservative, scholarly Bible commentaries and resources in the Arabic language is very difficult. I have personally experienced this need while ministering in the Middle East. Pastors, Bible students and believers need resources that will help them develop their understanding of the Scriptures.
The FRIENDS OF ARAB CHRISTIANS MINISTRY is committed to providing resources in the Arabic language. Our mission is to help and serve believers in the Middle East. In order to do this, FACM will be involved in the translation of commentaries and other resources from English to Arabic. FACM will also encourage native theologians to write by publishing their writings.
Our first big challenge is translate one of the best conservative and scholarly commentaries, The Expositor’s Bible Commentary. This 12 volume set, published by Zondervan, will be translated into the Arabic language. Zondervan has granted us the permission for this translation. This is a big project and marks the beginning of FACM's ministry. Other important theological resources will follow.
We will translate resources that equip believers to study the Word of God in depth. We want to make these study tools available to all on paper, CD and online.
Dear friends, we are indebted to the first missionaries who worked hard to translate the Bible into Arabic language. FACM will continue the great work that they started.
